Chilean producer and DJ Alejandro Vivanco is a hero of Santiago's underground clubbing scene. In 2007 he dropped the Madre Tierra EP on Cadenza, which featured three groovy and futuristic techno tracks that showcased his penchance for percussion and swing.Since then, Vivanco has remained firmly in tech house territory with releases on 8Bit, Viva Music, and Doppelgaenger. In 2011, Vivanco also contributed to Cadenza Lab's 'Compilation Vol.1' with a track called 'Rise Again'. It was a deep tribal house number. You can feel those tribal beats, percussion and swing on Vivanco's Cycle Mix. Working through cuts from Petre Inspirescu, Lawrence, Audio Werner, Ste Roberts, Sven Tasanadi and Viudez & Rudolf, the mix is full of soulful flavours and techno trickery.Vivanco's Source Mix is a moody electronic hybrid that includes tracks from Monolake and Robert Henke, Autechre, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Air, and Plastikman.
