Alan Fitzpatrick productions have dominated the techno scene since his emergence in 2008 with Alan's partnership with Adam Beyer's Drumcode label producing his most significant work to date; releasing the universally supported ‘Human Reason’ collaboration alongside Beyer; four chart topping EP's (‘Static’, ‘Face Of Rejection’, ‘Insurgent Series’, ‘Life Through Different Eyes’); his 2010 ‘Shadows In The Dark’ album and contributing tracks to the labels ‘15 Year’s Of Drumcode’ and ‘A-Sides’ compilations plus remixes of Adam Beyer’s classic ‘Remainings III’ and Ben Sim’s ‘Riots In London’. Elsewhere, Fitzpatrick’s releases for Bedrock (‘Reflections’, ‘Moon Palace’) and his own 8 Sided Dice imprint (‘First Times’ collaboration with Cari Lekebusch, ‘Blixx’, ‘The Heist’, ‘Straw Hats’, ‘Amsterdam’, ‘9 Hours Later’) have raised the UK producers profile to a level where his remix services have been recruited by John Digweed, Slam, Cari Lekebusch, Joey Beltram and Timo Maas.
The same unstoppable momentum has come to characterize Alan's style of techno; powering demand for his music worldwide, and filling his gig diary with weekends spent touring Europe, North America and South America as a bonafide member of techno's producer vanguard. Focusing on his trademark sound of tough, hooky grooves and incendiary beats, Alan is an intuitive and dynamic DJ who is enjoying the new lease of life that Pioneer’s CDJ2000 players have brought to the art of DJing. Alan’s big-room techno sound has seen him consistently draw crowds in Germany (Tresor, Club Lehmann, Universal DOG), France (Rex, Inox, Spartacus, S’Kandalo) The Netherlands (Paradiso, Westerunie, Sugar Factory, Doornroosje, Poema), UK (Fabric including NYE 2011, Electric Brixton w/ Carl Cox), Italy (Old River Park, Make Some Noize), USA (Basic New York, Incognito Los Angeles, Treehouse Miami), Canada (Piknic Electronik Montreal), Switzerland (La Zoo, D-Club, Das Schiff) and Eastern Europe (Global Gathering Ukriane, Sziget Hungary, Kazantip Ukraine) plus Drumcode events at SW4 Festival London, Berghain Berlin, PollerWeisen Cologne, Solar Festival Holland, Ewer Street Warehouse London.

Something about Alan Fitzpatrick:
So far, 2012 has seen Alan progress on all fronts with his output for Drumcode in particular working to elevate his status as a maturing and dynamic producer capable of bringing stylistic variety to his productions. The release of his ‘Life Through Different Eyes’ EP powerfully demonstrated the range of Fitzpatrick’s inspiration and the inventiveness in the studio that inspires him to create universally popular techno records that stand out from the norm. Whether he is adding diva-like vocals to cavernous beat workouts (“Always Something For Nothing’) or fusing emotive chord sequences with his trademark heavy-funk sound (‘Prometheus’) there is a uniqueness to Alan Fitzpatrick productions that ensures his star remains on the rise.

Something by Alan Fitzpatick: 2011 was the year Alan Fitzpatrick made the transition to become a globally recognized talent. Having enjoyed a rapid ascent since his emergence as the new kid on the techno block in the latter half of 2008, Fitzpatrick now enjoys a status as a highly respected and in-demand producer and DJ. Asked to compile a coveted BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in November 2011, Alan responded with a two-hour snaps
hot of exclusive productions and unreleased tracks that generated an overwhelmingly positive reaction from old and new fans alike. Coming off the back of high profile releases for Adam Beyer’s Drumcode (including the ‘Human Reason’ collaboration with Beyer himself) as well as releases on John Digweed’s Bedrock label (‘Moon Palace’ was awarded a BBC Radio 1 Essential New Tune’) and Alan’s own 8 Sided Dice imprint (Alan’s ‘First Times’ collaboration with techno pioneer Cari Lekebusch was the 2011 highlight) there can be few followers of techno worldwide who would not recognize Alan Fitzpatrick as one of the most influential artists of the moment.

“Yes, I’d like to sign this!” is the first reaction the nu-breed techno music duo ‘On/Off’ received from one of UK’s leading techno dj’s and producers Alan Fitzpatrick. The dangerously sounding “Ambush” is the main track of the first release by this new and exciting new DJ and live-act hailing from the Netherlands. Holland has been the breeding place for many internationally renowned techno artists such as Secret Cinema, Egbert, Steve Rachmad, Joris Voorn and Remy to name a few.
The sound that On/Off represents can simply be described as dance floor minded, throbbing techno music. Influenced and inspired by legends such as Dave Clarke, Carl Cox and Chris Liebing they began collaboration on various projects forging their own unique sound in the progress.
On stage, On/Off combine their own tracks and arrangements with catchy loops and a wide variety of soundscapes. Doing this live, it allows them to create something unique every time they perform. There is no clear set of rules, just inspiration of the moment and the people on the dancefloor.
“Ambush” and “Sticky Fingers” will be out soon on Fitzpatrick’s personal imprint ‘8 Sided Dice’, followed by another EP and remixes on Fone Audio. More releases are coming soon so watch this space!

The latest 8 Sided Dice Podcast is now online and features an exclusive guest mix from Jon Gurd. This is the second time Jon has appeared on the podcast, but this time it is in support of his collaboration EP with Alan Fitzpatrick which is released this week. Both tracks from the EP appear in the mix - Electric Love and Pendulum - alongside lots of other new and unreleased music.

Jon Gurd may be a relatively new name to many, but more will be hearing of this exciting producer very soon. With productions hinging themselves along the spectrum of house and techno, Jon has been earning respect amongst his peers for his raw, energetic and hypnotically rolling tracks.
In 2011 Jon began his own label, Primal Rhythm. The first release was his own track 'The Brotherhood', which was well received by many, including Dubfire and Loco Dice, with the latter featuring the track in nearly all of his shows throughout 2011.

Fast forward to 2012 and Jon is becoming in-demand for his productions, with DJ's like Adam Beyer, Marco Carola and Richie Hawtin all playing his music. Sian, founder of the label Octopus, has asked him to join the well respected imprint, with the first release dropping in June 2012. Jon has also been writing collaborations with innovating techno producer and Drumcode favourite, Alan Fitzpatrick. The pair's first collab will drop on 8 Sided Dice in May 2012, with more planned later in the year.

The same unstoppable momentum has come to characterize Alan's style of techno; powering demand for his music worldwide, and filling his gig diary with weekends spent touring all over Europe as he completes the transition from being a highly regarded newcomer to a bonafide member of techno's producer vanguard. Something about Alan Fitzpatrick:
The continued rise of Alan Fitzpatrick is the biggest story in UK techno right now. Having enjoyed a rapid ascent since his emergence as the new kid on the techno block in the latter half of 2009, Fitzpatrick now enjoys a status as a highly respected and in-demand producer. By releasing his debut album for Adam Beyer’s globally renowned Drumcode label, Alan became the first act to record an album on Drumcode since 2005. The well-received ‘Shadows In The Dark’ long-player marked the culmination of a run of productions that saw Fitzpatrick publically name-checked as a one of the most exciting producers in techno by Adam Beyer, Dubfire, Carl Cox, John Digweed and Len Faki and being awarded a BBC Radio 1 Essential New Tune for his anthemic Reflections single on Bedrock. 2011 will see Alan evolve an already impressive production CV via collaborations with Adam Beyer, Cari Lekebusch and Joseph Capriati as well as remixes of Mark Broom, Funk D’Void and Alex Bau.

It has been Alan's partnership with Adam Beyer's Drumcode label that has produced his most significant work to date; releasing three chart topping EP's (Static, Face Of Rejection, Insurgent Series) on the label in addition to his ‘Shadows In The Dark’ LP and being one of a select handful of producers invited to remix Beyer's classic Remainings III. Biography of Alan Fitzpatrick:

Elsewhere, Fitzpatrick’s studio services have been recruited by the likes of John Digweed & Nick Muir, Slam, Joey Beltram, John Digweed, Dustin Zahn & Joel Mull and Pascal Mollin. Indeed, such has been Fitzpatrick’s dominance of the techno scene in the last eighteen months that his productions have regularly filled the top positions of Beatport’s techno Top 100 chart at the same time.

The same unstoppable momentum has come to characterize Alan's style of techno; powering demand for his music worldwide, and filling his gig diary with weekends spent touring all over Europe as he completes the transition from being a highly regarded newcomer to a bonafide member of techno's producer vanguard. Focusing on his trademark sound of tough, hooky grooves and incendiary beats, An intuitive and dynamic exponent with Native Instrument's Traktor software, his big-room techno sound has seen him draw crowds in Germany (Berghain, Cocoon, U60311, Maria Ostbahnof), France (Rex, Inox, Le 25, S’Kandalo) The Netherlands (Awakenings, Paradiso, Catwalk, Doornroosje, Poema), UK (Fabric, The Arches) Italy (Old River Park, Rasmonan), Switzerland (La Zoo, D-Club, Das Schiff) and Eastern Europe (Kiwi Lithuania, Forsage Ukraine) plus key festivals like Kazantip Ukraine, Streetparade Zurich, SW4 London, Boom Portugal and Sziget Hungary.

Already well passed the landmark of 25 releases, Alan Fitzpatrick’s 8 Sided Dice Recordings label keeps on pushing forward as one of the most exciting new techno labels to emerge in recent times. Established as both an attractive home to high profile artists and a outlet for emerging talent the labels output continues to strike a balance between original tracks and remixes from Alan himself, as well as featuring productions from Cari Lekebusch, Slam, Heiko Laux, Gene Le Fosse, Dustin Zahn, Sasha Caressi, Harvey McKay, Nicole Moudaber, Rich Jones, and Chris Colburn.
