It is Monday the 18th of February 2013 and we welcome back a returning guest on the CLR Podcast. Terence Fixmer is one of France’s most illustrated characters of the Techno scene, of which he has been at the forefront for over 10 successful years, bringing his dark, atmospheric sound to prestigious dance floors that range from Berlin's mecca of techno to Paris‘ Rex club. His instantly recognizable interpretation of modern Techno deftly avoids repetition by developing soundscapes that appeal to the club crowd, whilst still maintaining musical depth and integrity. It has been accurately stated that the music of this exceptional electronic musician who forms part of the CLR artist roster appeals as much to dancing feet, as it does to the searching soul. With the release of his brand-new Psychik EP, which came out last week on CLR, Terence Fixmer added three excellent tracks to his extensive discography. Apart from two of the tracks featured on the EP, Terence also included two upcoming releases on his own Planete Rouge label by the artists Hubot and Alexey Volkov in this podcast set. He is about to start recording a new solo album, so if you would like to know more about Terence Fixmer, his upcoming dates and releases, please visit the following sites:

It is Monday the 14th of January 2013 and we are very happy to welcome Berlin born and raised Rødhåd for the very first time on the CLR Podcast. He is currently considered one the capital´s most promising talents as well as one of the best European vinyl DJs. His sound could be described as some kind of hypnotic, deep Techno with atmospheric and dubby textures. The constant flow he creates in his extended sets by exclusively using vinyls and CDs is truly outstanding. He also is a founding member of the Dystopian group, a Berlin based platform which is successfully hosting Techno events since 2009 and which started the Dystopian label in 2012 with two excellent Rødhåd EPs entitled “1984” and “Blindness”. Rødhåd regularly plays at Berlin´s infamous Berghain club, often unannounced, usually starting on Sundays to play his elegant and mesmerizing, sometimes eight to ten hours long closing sets on the main floor. Over the last few years he has become a word-of-mouth favourite in Berlin´s Techno scene and we are very happy to present you this exclusive set. It is Monday the 17th of December 2012 and we have Modeselektor for the very first time on the CLR Podcast. Instead of recording a mix with lots of their own highly popular productions, Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary who together form Modeselektor chose to record a 1,5 hours long studio mix, which exclusively features tracks from their acclaimed 50WEAPONS imprint. The set focuses mainly on artists who found their musical home at the label, like Anstam, Addison Groove, Bambounou, Benjamin Damage, Cosmin TRG, Phon.o and Shed. It is Monday the 10th of December 2012 and we have Xhin back on the CLR Podcast. The Singaporean sound futurist has been crafting ominous cuts of cutting-edge electronic music since 1997 and is a regular, much appreciated guest on the podcast as well as on the label. His intricate blend of intelligent Techno first gained attention in the music business when he independently released his “Xycle” EP in 2003. Just recently he released an excellent remix of MOTOR “Pleasure In Heaven” (feat. Gary Numan) on CLR, a remix for Bas Mooy “Desolaat” on Gynoid Audio and contributed two tracks to the “Stellate 3” 10” Vinyl Series on Stroboscopic Artefacts. It is Monday the 8th of October and we have Peter Van Hoesen back on the CLR Podcast. Apart from being a prolific and widely respected electronic music producer, Peter is also well-known as a DJ, Live Act and the label owner of his Time To Express imprint - where he just released his second artist album 'Perceiver'. With this versatile and highly textural album he continues his work as a busy activist in modern electronic music. Peter enjoys performing as a DJ and as a Live Act, fusing his love for playing records with his hardware-led approach to creating sound. He not only presents contemporary, room filling and dramatic techno, but can range into house, melodic moments, broken beats and atmosphere-lifting classic 80s/90s vibes. From Berghain and Panorama Bar, to the cult Labyrinth Festival in Japan, to Fabric, Trouw or The Bunker, Peter's extended sets, often heading into powerfully hypnotising and psychedelic moments, are always a memorable and much appreciated experience. On October 1st CLR released a massive remix-package of the track MOTOR feat. Douglas McCarthy “The Knife”, including a great remix by Peter Van Hoesen. It is Monday the 3rd of September 2012 and we have Berlin based Heiko Laux back on the CLR Podcast with a generous two hour mix he recorded live at “Eleven” in Tokyo. The acclaimed German DJ, producer, electronic musician and founder of the internationally renowned “Kanzleramt” label has been witnessing and actively adding to the very beginnings of the techno movement in his native province of Hessen / Germany. He was so to speak at the right time, at the right place and got increasingly known and respected in this blossoming new scene. One of the most crucial breakthrough moments in his consistently successful DJ career happened when he was offered a prime time residency at the legendary “Omen” club in Frankfurt, where he could really show his dedicated passion and skills to the enthusiastic crowd. In the eighteen years of running his label “Kanzleramt”, he has released numerous memorable productions and albums, not only by himself, but also by artists like Anthony Rother, Johannes Heil and Patrick Lindsey - just to mention a few. Lnks:

It is Monday the 27th of August and we have Marcel Fengler, resident at Berlin´s Berghain club and restless Techno ambassador back on this week´s CLR Podcast. In Marcel’s world opposites attract. Ambient and electronica are equal parts in his sets that owe as much to the UK’s progressive school of relentless techno as they do to that special “Berghain sound” - a dictum created by music journalists and a description that is as diverging as the club’s resident DJs. Marcel has been a resident at Berghain from day one and has continuously helped to nurture and shape the incomparable vibe of this so-called “temple of boom”. He is known and respected for his hard and dynamic, but at the same time surprising and emotional sets with a very personal, human touch. A similar versatility can be found in his productions, which he is releasing on various renowned labels including the famous Ostgut Ton imprint as well as his own label IMF (Index Marcel Fengler). We hope you enjoy the present, exclusive studio mix by this passionate artist. It is Monday the 16th of July and today we have Kr!z, the head of the acclaimed Belgian label 'Token' for the first time on the CLR Podcast. For this purpose he has recorded an exclusive 2,5 hours mix, consisting of a variety of brand-new or previously unreleased tracks and a few classics. Kr!z always had a strong sympathy for the more gloomy, dark, rawer sound of techno. Artists like Jeff Mills, Surgeon & James Ruskin had a major influence on him in the 90ies. They helped to define his musical taste and to develop his own identity in the techno scene. Kr!z still has a big love for hip hop, which has left it’s mark in his technical dj style: fast & tight mixing, properly dosed with cuts & scratches. Being a respected & established value in Belgium for a decade and a resident-dj for Belgium's legendary techno night 'Kozzmozz', his dj-schedule now takes him all over the world. His label nights have become very successful events in some of the most influential techno clubs of the planet and he has released many of the most inspiring artists in today´s electronic music scene on 'Token'. The upcoming releases also promise nothing but more of the imprint´s widely respected, powerful, timeless and uncompromising techno. It is Monday the 9th of July and today we have a returning guest on the CLR Podcast. Mike Parker from Buffalo / New York is very well known for his releases on PROLOGUE and his own label GEOPHONE, amongst many others. He will soon release a new EP on GEOPHONE, which will coincide with his upcoming European tour and he is also working on an album for PROLOGUE, to be released in the beginning of 2013. In September his brand-new remix for Brendon Moeller will be released on Speedy J´s label ELECTRIC DELUXE. Mike Parker is a strong believer in analogue sounds and is also passionate about visual arts. Apart from being an acclaimed dj, electronic musician and producer, he is actually teaching fine arts at the state university in Buffalo. Over the years, his education in the visual arts has had a profound impact on the music he produces. His production style is as uncompromising as his dj sets are powerful: a track is rehearsed many times, then recorded live on mostly analogue gear with no edits or overdubbing later. His dj sets have the same spontaneous bite. We are very happy to present you another exclusive set by this inspiring artist. If you would like to know more about Mike Parker and his upcoming gigs and releases, please check out: Web
