Tom Hades started to discover and experiment with electronic music when listening to DAF, Kraftwerk, Front 242, ... At the age of 15, he bought his first keyboard, the famous Casio CZ-101 and transformed his game-computer, Amiga 500, into his first DAW. Quickly he got experienced with MIDI-integration and sampling functions, which gave him even more urge for buying/selling new material as addition to his current setup. During the same period, his old schoolfriend, RedHead, was co-producing with Marco Bailey. He got in contact with Marco too which led them in 2000 to their first co-release. And this was the start of a big period of releases, included the anthem of "I Love Techno" in 2001. Have a look at the discography for the complete overview ... In the same year as I Love Techno, Tom started to do live performances. He got more & more experienced and started to play all over the world. His live performance was fully appreciated in countries like Spain, Colombia, Brazil, France, Poland, Sweden, Mexico, Japan, Austria, Italy, Norway, Ireland, ... and on many known festivals like Nature One, I Love Techno, City Parade, ... In the first period of 2002, Tom also produced his first solo release. In the next 3-4 years he continued to produce tracks on his own as well as his co-production with Marco on respected labels like MB Elektronics, Pornographic Recordings, Rhythm Convert, Northwest Dynamics, Invasion, Fine Audio, Patterns, Lupp, ... In 2004, they decided it was time to take the next step, start a label. And so Rhythm Convert was born. Initially, the purpose of the label was to give an opportunity to new talents to release their stuff. Guys like Axel Karakasis, Spiros Kaloumenos, Veztax, ... did a very good job to show the people what is was all about. Nowadays, the label is more aimed to produce electro-techno tracks and less oriented towards loopy techno sounds. End 2004, they released their full album, Rude Boy, caused a stirr all over the world. The best proof was their live performance during Nature One @ Pydna were they literally "blew the place to kingdom come" ! His current releases on labels like MB Elektronics & Rhythm Convert are oriented in the same way his musical taste changes, more melodic and even sometimes more dramatic music with flavors of techno, minimal, tekhouse and electro. Nowadays, Tom is busy at concentrating in his next step, to develop his "dj-career". In the near future, you can expect dj-sets with dedication and filled with energy, as known from his live-sets, to give his fans the pleasure of clubbing ! But as every self-respected artist, he will never forget his roots, so live-sets will still be part of his main occupation ! In the means of productions, future releases will certainly be done, as well as a second album together with Marco. So keep your eyes open on some new productions, because they will certainly surprise lots of people !!!

For the past 20 years, Jeroen Verheij aka Secret Cinema has consistently been regarded as one of Netherland’s, if not the world’s top techno producers and live acts.
During this time he has produced some of the biggest techno anthems including Timeless Altitude, Sonar System, Mary Go Wild and two of the popular tunes on Sven Vath’s Cocoon Records – Shake Your Tech Ass & Kurzweil.
He has headlined
many of the biggest festivals around the globe including closing the Awakenings Festival (a spot that only Secret Cinema, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer and Dave Clarke have held since its inception).
Jeroen lives and breathes electronic music not to mention, he still holds as much passion and enthusiasm on stage as he did in the early 90′s.
After the lengthy success of his solo Secret Cinema project, Jeroen has focused his energy toward a new venture aptly named “Gem” which is a platform consisting of Gem Records (one of the fastest growing global techno labels) and the highly regarded Gem events which has built an absolute cult following over the past several years.
To put it simply, Secret Cinema is one of the brightest shining Gems of the global techno scene and will continue to shine for many years to come!

Biography of Mattias Fridel:
Swedish DJ/producer Mattias Fridell has been actively involved in the techno scene since the 1990s, inspired early on by EDM and the developing techno movement in Sweden.

In 2000 Fridell's first record, cut with Alexander Johansson, was released and it garnered the duo a reputation as two of the more promising producers to look out for. Their music was subsequently played by some of the highest profile DJs as well as noted by Calle Dernulf—a radio guru in Sweden who has been pushing techno and house music to the masses. From there Fridell and Johansson released their music on a succession of classic and legendary labels such as Audio Assault, ARMS and XXX Records.

When Johansson decided to take a six year break from electronic dance music, Mattias Fridell kept right on going.

For nearly a decade he's released quality techno and other forms of electronic dance music, working along the way with a growing number of respected labels and artists. In 2010 Fridell teamed up with techno icon Glenn Wilson to create throbbing music and also launch the label project Tonal Path. He's also collaborated with other producers from around the world and succeeded in re-introducing his old collaborator Alexander Johansson to the techno scene—they're now as strong as ever in their partnership.

While constantly implementing new ideas and retaining his signature sound, Mattias is always inspired to work several directions within dance music's deep maze of rabbit holes.

From starting out in the '90s delivering the sound of authentic Swedish techno, his musical journey took him through a variety of musical twists. Along the way he's salvaged everything from hard techno to classic Detroit-inspired beats, down to a minimalistic approach as well as the work that defines his sound today: the dark, deep, industrial tones and rich, deep dubby flavours—with lots of erosion and a smattering of dirt.

Working against the trends, but assimilating slices he likes along the way, Fridell will carry on producing his unique, innovative vibes.

Something about Dino Sabatini:
Dj, producer and sound designer, he gives the project "Modernheads" birth together with his partner Gianluca Meloni back in www.modernheads.net.  His solo-debut EP, "No more", inaugurates the new "Prologue records" label based in Munich,  the record gets enthusiastic reviews all over the worldwide press
with a renowned magazine such as "DeBug" describing it as "Techno masterpiece". Again, his second release "InVaders", still on Prologue imprint, reaches the most important techno djs charts whom regularly playlist both its sides. Within few weeks since the two releases, Dino Sabatini appears djing @ Prologue labelnight at Berghain club, in Berlin as well as in many other highlighted clubs such as Panorama Bar - Tresor - Suicide Circus - Mikz. His most recent work on Prologue records, a double EP titled "Daughter of Phorsys"  and conceived almost like an album split in two clearly different volumes, is the result of months spent in his Berlin-based studio, researching for a new level of sonorities that would underline  a defined personality which blends dark techno with an industrial noise touch surrounded by hypnotic sequences.

A mature product which Resident Advisor, Fact magazine and Beatport don't estate to review as one of the most capturing in its kind. In the meanwhile, the collaboration with Gianluca Meloni keeps on going: as "Modernheads", the two italians have recently came out with the works "Mooger", also on Prologue and "1969" on Stroboscopic Artefacts label,  with a bunch new tracks that, once again, confirm the solid talent of the duo.

Dr Hoffmann & Gabeen - Blind Spot Radio Show 129 [2011-11-28] by D2Techno

Something about Philipp Kipphan:
The 25 year old DJ and producer Philipp Kipphan is based in the beautiful city of Heidelberg, in south germany, running his studio, office and his own regular clubnight.

As a young kid he grew up with the music from bands such as Metallica, ACDC and Nirvana. His dad recorded him tapes with those bands songs, that young Philipp listened to over and over again.

His DJ carreer on the other hand began with his fascination for "The Prodigy". Soon he started playing at local Breakbeat events. So he discovered his love for straight and rough beats, that he found in Techno.
This diversity of influences on his music career lead him to be the musician Philipp Kipphan is today. His productions are fresh and driving and he is daring for something new, regardless of the trend.

As Techno didn’t have a homebase in Heidelberg at that time, he started his own clubnight in 2009 that he called „Auf & Davon“, (up and away).
Philipp Kipphan impresses his audience by his collection of records, which includes a mixture of extraordinary and impulsive tracks. His sound is a crossover between dubtechno and straight techno, especially representing rough and distorted sounds with a dirty touch. His reputation spread like wildfire and soon lead him to DJ gigs all around the country, from Hamburg to Munich. 2010 was the time for his first guestshows in other european countries beeing an ebassador of pulsing techno.

Something about Psyk:
Born in Madrid, Spain, Manuel Anós (Psyk) is now a key player in the current techno scene. His professional career began just a few years ago when he was 19, signing with Minus his famous track "Clown". Ever since, his career has been just growing. He is considered one of the main representatives of the so called "Big Room" techno of the moment.

Psyk is still more known because of his sets and his way of playing records than of his productions. His passion and skills behind the decks have finished polishing this artist as DJ, a fusion between the deepest and overwhelming techno, strong influences of house and minimal, his sets with hypnotic rhythm and full of special care in planning and progression of these, have made him one of the most promising DJ's in recent years. Richie Hawtin himself speaks in the international "DJ Mag" about Psyk as one of the most powerful young talents for the upcoming years. He has already played in the best clubs and festivals in Europe and America until today, being a DJ that leaves no one indifferent.

Regarding his production, Psyk´s music, after the release of "Cubes" on ENEMY, has evolved into a dynamic and powerful techno. Will be with his 12 inches in FIGURE, LENSERIES (Len Faki) and his biggest hit "Throes", that will make him finally as one of the most relevant artists of this genre. After the latter, he would released his next ep "Crypt" in LINEAL, one of the revelation labels of German Techno in 2010 and also his release "Anthem" on the label of his colleague Pfirter; Mindtrip.

Something about Chris Liebing:

Chris Liebing had his first Residency as a DJ in a small club called "Red Brick" 1991 in Giessen, near Frankfurt. There he was playing all sorts of music from Soul, Hip Hop and Pop to House. In 1993, buying his records at Downtown Records in Giessen, he discovered the more electronic side of music, and one year later, he decided to open up a Techno Club, called "Spinclub".
Already beginning of 1995 the club had to close down and Chris began working for Eye -Q Records in Frankfurt. During that period, he met his friend and partner Andre Walter. Together they started to built up a studio and worked on music. Later that year, the first record on Global Ambition was released. Also together with Tommy Bingel from Downtown Records and Toni Rios, they founded the house Label SOAP.

Various Records and Remixes were released, like Traveller on Harthouse, Noosa Heads and E.H.R. on Soap, Strictly Ryth, and others.

In November 1995, Chris had a chance to play at the OMEN in Frankfurt and shortly after became Resident DJ. About a year later, influenced by his DJ-ing, he created "fine Audio Recordings" together with Under Cover Music Group. Chris gained first worldwide recognition with releases like Audio 07 and Audio 11.

Between 1978 and 1999 he hosted his weekly radioshow on Evosonic Radio. Very much happened then in 1999, Chris played the first time for the U60311 and started his Residency every first Friday of a month with " Es ist Freitagaaabend…!", playing along with his favourite DJ´s and Live Acts from around the world.

He joined the Cocoon Agency in Frankfurt to take care of his growing Booking Schedule and also in that same year, he moved on with his Labelwork and created his own Recordcompany "CLR". From then on the Labels CLR, Clretry, CLAU, Stigmata and Soap were distributed by Prime in England.

Since August 2000 you can hear Chris and Pauli Steinbach in their "Pitch Control" on HR XXL every Thursday night.

In may 2001 he mixed this double CD and started working on his Album for CLR which will hopefully bereleased within the following year.

In 2002 he left Cocoon Booking to manage the Booking Schedule by himself. From now CLR is taking care also of his bookings.

Something about Speedy J:
After fifteen years of techno Speedy J now has come full circle. But what a wide circle it was, and how fickle the trodden path. Over the years he has collaborated with video-artists, filmmakers and advertisers, made the pioneering DVD Umfeld, an audio-visual, electronic trip, which sets the standard for many composers who want to compose for six speakers in the coming years – remarkably made available as a free download on the internet.

But not only that, Speedy J has continuously been pushing the boundaries of electronic & experimental dance music. Blurring the lines between Live performance and Digital Djing, he fuses subversive electronics and peak time Techno. Together with his partner in crime Chris Liebing he started using Traktor and other Software technology on 4 laptops with hardware such as Machine Drum and 303’s to create a fully integrated set. Again he is spearheading a way of DJing that is picked up by a lot of other forward thinking electronic artists.

Logically, the releases on his label Electric Deluxe all feature tool versions, introducing the concept of creating unique live sets from parts as a natural evolution of Djing. Not only setting the bar for peak hour Techno madness, Electric Deluxe becomes the platform for his Collabs series that started on Novamute, as well as releases by open minded artists like Chris Liebing, George Issakidis, Tommy Four Seven and Terrence Fixmer to showcase the value of creative synergy using newest technology.
