Biography of Erphun:
It may have been fate that Erphun's very first gig was on Halloween, because his music is brooding, pounding, moody and transformative, as if from another realm entirely. His ability to build a mood is mesmerizing and transports the listener to that alternate spiritual level that his moniker infers. Having spun around California with residencies for Naked, Flirt and Hotel California and playing at 1015 Folsom (San Francisco), Sevilla (Las Vegas), MINC (Dallas), Broadway (San Diego), Voodoo Lounge (Las Vegas), Risqu (Las Vegas, New Year's Eve 2004), and the Shelbourne Hotel (Miami, Winter Music Conference) , Erphun began to make his mark.
Erphun's music has been spun in clubs all over the world and is succinctly summed up by Steve Lawler as a "deep, dark and underground unique sound" that trademarks his pieces. With releases on ViVa MUSiC, Oliver Klein's Mutekki and Audio Therapy, and more recently to Bedrock Records, his name is now instantly recognizable among the tech-house, minimal, techno world of spinning producers who globe trot his compositions to be dropped on every conceivable audience. The reaction of the listener to his slow, driving builds that weave between the almost symphonic-like movements of each of his pieces is always jaw dropping and is usually followed by an exclamatory "SIIIIIICK!".
Erphun is also a highly sought after re-mixer for artists who want to hear the 4AM version of their pieces. The only way to really experience this immense talent is to see him in action. A night of Erphun's making heightens the listener's musical aesthetic and aurally illustrates his personal musical vision.

Biography of Reeko:
The biggest challenge a musician or producer of any musical type or style has to face, whether they like it or not, is to see whether their work can create a path that other artists will follow or lay the foundation for the work of other artists. Juan Rico, the Asturian known within the scene as REEKO, is well aware of this.
Born in Oviedo (Asturias) in 1981, Reeko is a dj who has rapidly attained the recognition other artists have taken a long time to gain. In his case it’s not been a matter of chance or coincidence, but the result of his innate and incredible capacity to be prolific, alongside his obsession for perfection. He marks is his birth as a dj about 1997, but it wasn’t until his first release in 2002 under the Swedish label Emergence that he became known professionally.
There is no need to name all the aliases that Juan Rico has used to release the diverse artistic sensations which flow from him, but these are characteristic which define his personality and are a part of REEKO himself. Producing and performing under different names allows him to concentrate fully on each individual event by devoting himself completely to an idea or style to which he is totally faithful, putting aside for a moment sounds and influences that don’t belong in the particular character which he is mutating into at the time.
The result is a knock out. Under the name of REEKO he has released huge techno productions which have charted and been played by the best djs in the world, right from the first tracks and EPs for labels as reputable as Theory, Main out, Integrale Muzique, Deafmosaic, Inceptive, Rxxistance, Trece Records, Symbolism, Planet Rhythm, Warm up or Palicavonzvreca.

Reeko created Mental Disorder, his “pathological” label/laboratory, in 2003 under which he has released 12 works of ever increasing quality. The latest (The Day After, 2010) received a wonderfully warm welcome as one of the best releases in Hispanic Techno of the year. Artists such as Gennaro le fosse, Pacou, Oscar Mulero have collaborated with his very personal label.
Next came the label Evidence in 2005, where he opens up to his passion for the darkest and sickest part of the human mind. He looks deep within the human psyche where most of us would never go or dare explore. That is where the laconic, aggressive and totally sweeping sound that characterises him stems from. Reputable artists who have published with Evidence are Function, Paul Bailey and Trolley Route, to name a few.
He has received great praise for his collaborations with the Humano project and the Belgian label MusicMan, home of the purest of European techno. During this last decade, his most outstanding performances have been in Awakenings and Monegros 2005, Aquasella, Tresor and his Brazil tour of 2008.
The story so far reaches a climax when Reeko joins the cream of techno: the PoleGroup, formed in 2008. On the frontline of this group is Oscar Mulero, indisputable leader of the darkest Iberian techno, joined by the Asturian duo Exium and the surprising and experienced Christian Wünsch. The most recent addition to this team is Architectural, someone who will give us lots and lots to talk about.
Reeko finds himself, unexpectedly but deservedly, among the elite of Hispanic techno.

On Friday Decemeber 7, Cube Culture presents the final Chapter of DECADANCE! and there is no better way to end it than with the techno legend Oscar Mulero at Metro Club in Guatemala, Been already a well known name on the underground circuit, techno legend Oscar Mulero has been one of the leading techno DJs from Spain for a long long time. On one of his well-received latest album ‘Grey Fade to Green“, he showed that, besides being a great dj, he’s also very versatile as a producer. Mulero is one of the most respected djs around, guarantees quality techno and played at almost all respectable leading festivals and clubs worldwide. In the Netherlands Mulero is mainly heard on the big events like Awakenings, so this is a unique opportunity for Guatemala to check him out in a smaller setting. Dont miss this great gig and enjoy the best agressive, quiality and dark techno music, with a true legend, the perfect ingredients for a solid night of underground techno.

Biography of Oscar Mulero:
The mid-eighties, Madrid. The Spanish capital is teeming under the grip of a musical explosion the likes of which has never been seen before. In the midst of that rabid swirl, a teenager, unknown and unassuming, enters a record shop to blow his savings on an album, Standing on a Beach, by The Cure. Little did he know that this was to be his first step on the long and difficult path to becoming one of the country’s essential djs.
He soon became a familiar face in the dj booths of the most exclusive underground clubs of Madrid, but the best was still to come and the first chapter was called New World, his first “proper” job.
New World sessions were soon all the rave and Oscar entered the studio for the first time to collaborate in the making of the club’s official record, Nuclear Zone. His was a backseat involvement, more as a sound advisor than as a producer. It wasn’t until later on that producing and deejaying became his livelihood. The record went on sale in 1993 and was quite a success, going on to get included in many of the national compilations of the time.

The New World experience finally came to an end. But it allowed for the birth of THE OMEN, which for many was the ultimate club. The Omen was so successful it quickly became a tourist attraction, with clubbers from all over the country coming to Madrid every weekend to enjoy Oscar’s sessions. This led to a change in his career. He gradually moved away from being an important resident dj to a travelling one. He started to travel regularly, taking the Omen sound all over the peninsula. Firstly to the north, and then gradually, to all four corners of the country. It was the beginning of Oscar’s intimate relationship with airports and the road.
And so to the year 1996 and the third Sonar, a festival which had by then become established as one of the most important in the world. For the first time, the name of Oscar Mulero appeared among the list of national invitees, alongside others of his generation such as The Frogmen, HD Substance or Resonic. Sonar 96 served to officially confirm a whole new scene that had until then been in an embryonic state, but which was now being taken seriously for the first time and coming to be viewed as the seed of something solid. At Sonar 1996, Oscar held his own against stars of the stature of Richie Hawtin, Garnier and Mills.
Outside Spain, people started talking about his unique technique and musical selection. Another mission accomplished. And so on to the next phase…
There was life after Sonar. The kind of recognition and support he gained as a result of his successes brought even more work, more travel and more big festivals, such as the Members of Mayday Festival, and culminated in 1998 in his first Session CD (the first CD of its type to be released in our country) entitled About Discipline and Education, released by the Catalan label So Dens, which was at the time closely linked to the organisers of Sonar. The musical selection was, for the time, very advanced and ground-breaking. A blend of the best of the dry, industrious sound of Birmingham, courtesy of people like Regis or Surgeon, and the best US sounds of the era, represented by the likes of Jeff Mills and Joey Beltram. The CD was an huge hit. One of the biggest-selling electronic music CDs in the country ever.
Already a well known name on the underground circuit among the most faithful clubbers, Oscar Mulero now started to appear in media headlines in the specialised and general press alike. Thanks to him, the DJ was now a figure taken seriously by the media who had until then viewed them as just another of the many night works. As he had done so on many previous occasions, Oscar was again opening up doors and blazing trails…

His second work was released in 1999. It was done with GROOF, an experienced producer from Madrid. The two formed the duo Quite Unusual, on the GROOF label Brainwaves. They were well received by critics and also enjoyed good sales. His first release with an international label came in 2000 on the French label Kobayashi. It was his first away match and first away victory!
That very year saw the birth of WARM UP and a couple of years later, its offspring POLE. From then on, all Oscar’s efforts were focused on releasing his own material, whether home or away, on the very best techno labels of the planet, such as Coda, Pure Plastic, Tresor, Sheep, Tsunami and Main Out. That put him definitively on the world techno map. Between 2000 and 2002 he released no fewer than 9 EPs, which lead to a contract with one of the biggest dj booking agencies of the time, Dynamix Booking from Berlin, an agency that also represents some of the best techno artists of the world. From then on, Oscar was seen and heard in clubs and festivals from all over the world, more and more often.
In 2003 he released A Occhi Chiusi on the Pure Plastic label, under the name of TROLLEY ROUTE. This was a totally mental electronic work that was also easy to dance to. That album ended a cycle and confirmed his maturity as a producer.
Since then, he has continued his relentless work producing and remixing with the very best techno labels the world over, and he hasn’t stopped appearing on the electronic stage everywhere. Dr. Smoke, his alter ego, gained strength during this period as a showcase of Oscar’s open and eclectic vision as a music selector, leaving techno aside and moving deep into territories such as electro, dub and IDM.

During 2008 Oscar significantly expanded his work map. Visiting the Movement festival in Detroit, China and Japan, he has left his mark on almost every continent.
During 2009, his international presence included forays into countries as exotic (from a techno point of view) as China. As for studio work, that same year saw the digital release of the Trolley Route album, the making of a CD mix for the prestigious Tresor Records label and the creation of the Selección Natural collective together with Exium, Reeko and Christian Wünsch.
Following a memorable anniversary party at Fabrik, Madrid, that was a huge success with the crowds and celebrated his twenty years as a dj, we see the end of one era and the beginning of a new one. From then on he is open to the use of new technologies and new projects, such as the Pole platform, which picks up the thread from Selección Natural and gathers the best of the national techno scene under one banner.

During 2011 we saw the release of his first LP as Oscar Mulero, Grey Fades to Green. A double CD also released as a 4 vinyl set which will bear testimony to Oscar’s maturity and consolidation as one of the most important electronic music producers worldwide.
On the stage side Oscar has developed a fully audiovisual experience with his “Light & Dark AV Set”, tested live in some of the best festivals around.
For 2012 he’s going to celebrate 10 years of his primal label WarmUp, which will soon reach its 30th released record.

A.Paul was voted best Portuguese techno DJ in 2000, 2001, and 2002 by the readers of Dance Club, the main electronic music media vehicle in Portugal.
A.Paul has never stopped investing and supporting the electronic music community particularly in techno. This is when A.Paul decides to start exploring the international market, due to the changes in the Portuguese scene.1994 to 2000 was monumental time after suffering from the huge decline in quality and quantity of events and musical culture. From the "Paradise Called Portugal" coined years before by international media, Portugal was now a place with a stagnated scene, and techno was probably the first genre to suffer. It was time for change, this crisis lead him to invest his time in a music production career, that was quiet for a few years due to the higher demand for DJ previously. In 2001 he opened Genesis record shop, but it would be a few years later that he created his most successful project to date, Naked Lunch Records which is one of the quality techno labels in the world at the moment. He is also co-owner of MPC Vinyl Distribution, with his long time friends Cisco Ferreira (The Advent) and Michaelangelo, where he also released on his other sister labels The Light, Parallel 125, Dirty Ego, LK and Xtractz.
The last 5 years were indeed the most prolific and successful for career including constant studio and DJ activity. A.Paul has released over 100 vinyl records, several mixed CD compilations released in amazing labels like; Kombination Research, Synewave, Planet Rhyhtm, Italo Business, Pure Sonik, Theory, Mastertraxx, Beat Disaster, Yin Yang, Impact Mechanics, and has remixed artists such as The Advent, Ben Sims, Eric Sneo, Angel Alanis, Damon Wild, DJ T-1000, Virgil Enzinger, Robert Armani, Dave The Drummer, Dj Preach, Mike Humphries, Spiros Kaloumenos, Torsten Kanzler, Bas Mooy, Housemaster Boyz and many more.
Besides his sound of hard, funky, deep bass lines being the gin and juice of techno he is renounced for, he has also been known productions in techouse, minimal and experimental sounds, under several aliases like Loudon Kleer, Luther Miek, Beat Therapy and LK. and last but not least, he is also known for his co-productions with artists like The Advent, Industrialyzer, Michaelangelo, DJ Slot among others.

Oliver Koop resides in Europe’s capital: Brussels, Belgium. Influenced by artists like Derrick May, Surgeon, Jeff Mills and UR, Oliver started mixing in 1998. In 2004 he started to produce his own tracks. His own productions can be called deep and dark minimal, strong techno and everything in between. He really has a passion for producing and you can hear that at labels like M_Rec, TMM Records, Contrast Records, RapidFireRecords, RBL Records.
Early on, Oliver was very much into electronic music and more so by Detroit Techno which made him dive into this passionate world.
Influenced by May, Surgeon, Mills, UR & Scan7 Oliver Koop started mixing as a resident for LinePhase, a Brussels after party concept from 2003 until 2007. Through this residence he did not only play in Brussels, but also in different cities to make a name for himself. In a very short time period he was quite relaxed behind the decks and found a way to impress the audience and make his mark as a DJ. Nowadays you can spot Oliver at Fuse, Dali’s Bar (KONTAKT) and the NEMO- parties every weekend.
Besides spinning the vinyl he has also started producing himself. Thanks to this, you can find the fruits of his passion on labels such as M_Rec, TMM Records, Contrast Records, RapidFireRecords, RBL Records, etc…
Oliver’s future is quite promising as every day he works on his own tracks and at the same time he stays close to the party scene and what the people want.
