Gene Hoffmann – I Might Have ADD [4 Deck Techno Mix] – (04-09-2011)

As most of my Facebook, Soundcloud and ‘real life’ friends would have heard by now, I’m coming out of DJ retirement for a ‘one off’ event. I’ll be playing a 4 hour set at a warehouse techno party on the Gold Coast (Australia) on Sat Nov 5, 2011. So as to attract good underground crowd the party isn’t being widely advertised, with only a few hundred tickets available. Facebook or Soundcloud message me if you are interested in hearing more details.

This will be my first public gig in almost seven years. When I was first DJing I was very lucky to have the opportunity to play some great events, but I gave it up for a few reasons best now left unsaid. Now, after five years of not playing at all and another two playing at home in my studio, I have more passion for techno and DJing than ever before! I’m excited about the techno that I’m hearing and collecting and my new digital setup allows me to be as creative as possible when I play.

This set is a sample of what to expect on the night. An extended 4 hour set will obviously allow me to play the full range of the techno and tougher minimal, dub and house that I love. The dancefloor will decide which direction I head. To add to my excitement my good friend and one of Australia’s best techno DJs Matt Van Diemen will be playing 2hr sets on either side of mine. Perfect!
